As the innovator of MegaBRIX®, large precast shapes for aluminum furnaces, Wahl delivers unsurpassed refractory properties while minimizing installation and dry-out time.
Precast shapes can range from small maintenance items to complete furnace assemblies. To provide optimum refractory performance Wahl has the ability to zone the refractory materials for MegaBRIX®. All materials are custom formulated in house to ensure proper material selection for the application. MegaBRIX® exhibit consistent properties such as higher strengths and lower porosity achieved by Wahl’s controlled manufacturing environment. Precast shapes offer improved properties over cast-in-place refractories due to precise water additions, controlled mixing, casting and dry-out processes. Using MegaBRIX® controls the installation variables that cast-in-place applications would be prone to such as weather, job site environment issues human fatigue and installation delays.
Wahl engineers, designs, fabricates and installs multiple complete MegaBRIX® furnaces including rectangular, round, stationary, tilting, melting, reverb, forge and holder furnaces. Wahl’s services for the Aluminum Industry includes full turnkey installations, repair and maintenance. This option allows customers to be assured that the refractories have been installed according to their proper guidelines. Project management arranged by Wahl includes the ability to utilize local labor or prequalified Wahl contractors for maintenance repairs, replacement and complete installations.
